How we use AI
Where AI is used, its limits and the safeguards around it.
Where AI is used
Study Coach uses an AI model to explain ideas, give hints and check reasoning. Practice questions come first from our reviewed question bank. During the Beta some AI-generated questions may be used; they are labelled Beta and checked automatically before use.
Grounded in the syllabus
Study Coach is given the learner's syllabus objective. If it cannot confirm something from that syllabus it says so instead of guessing.
Hints before answers
By default Study Coach gives hints rather than final answers. Guardians decide whether full solutions can be shown.
Limits
AI can make mistakes. Learners should check important facts with their teacher or textbook, and can report an inaccurate answer with one tap.
Your data
We send the AI provider only what is needed for the reply and never contact details. We do not allow learner messages to be used to train public AI models where our provider lets us opt out.
