Children's privacy
How we protect learners' data and what guardians control.
Guardian first
Learner accounts are created by a parent or guardian, who must give consent before any learner data is stored. In countries where we have not yet confirmed the local consent rules, sign-up is not available.
Minimal data
We ask for a first name or nickname, never a full name, school name, photo or address. Uploads and voice input are not available.
What guardians see
Guardians see topics studied, progress, time spent and totals. They do not see the learner's Study Coach conversations, so learners can ask questions freely. Safety alerts are the exception and are shared when a guardian needs to act.
Device privacy
When a guardian switches between children or signs out, TrainerAid clears data stored on the device for the previous learner.
